On a whim, I decided to try a life coaching session…. I was ready! I wanted to work through obstacles in my work, my path to another business model, my blocks to financial success and even in applying myself to spiritual study. This was going to be transformational!
Rip told me he had prayed long and hard and even consulted some other coaches before meeting with me and that he had one thing we had to go over before we got started on my list of "transformations". "I noticed you listed you were recently separated from your husband", he stated. "Is there anything to this part of your life we need to work on?" he asked.
That was it! I felt all my aspirations for laying pathway lights to the person I wanted to become and the building of ornamental gardens to rest my weary spirit wiped aside with two innocent statements and we were back looking at that ugly closet door that had all the chains and locks on it. My heart sank as I realized Rip wasn't going to let me get by with all my avoidance tactics. Honesty. What a terrifying word!
For the next several months Rip coached and I worked.
