Leaders are bombarded with many demands, thrown at them from multiple directions. Continuing to strive despite the obstacles and setbacks requires perseverance and resilience.
Feelings are fickle. They are not reliable indicators of positive contribution. If you genuinely want to serve others, your feelings will likely be a deception--a distraction from your intended focus.
This week’s article, “The Importance of Perseverance and Resilience,” is one which we all need to reference occasionally. Considering the blessings that many of us have been given and the adversity so many have overcome, we cheat ourselves and those we serve if we succumb to feelings of inadequacy and defeat.
